Today we will continue our look at our amazing teaching staff by featuring our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Karen Miller. We also want to announce two upcoming events that our school families are planning: our annual Christmas Candlelight House Tour (a holiday tradition for over three decades now), and our new Holiday Vendor Sale. Both will take place Sunday, December 8th. Details will be available in future bulletins, and tickets for the Christmas Candlelight House Tour will be on sale later this month.
This week we are taking a break from our teacher spotlight in order to wrap up the first quarter of the school year. Our students have been working hard at their studies these last few months. Activities such as band, forensics, Math Counts and English Fest have begun. Our Student Council members have been elected. And our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students have been busy working with their preschool, Kindergarten and 1st grade buddies! We are proud of all their efforts.
The students, staff and families of SSPP have been busy these last few weeks wrapping up fall sports and organizing our annual Fall Festival. Many thanks to everyone in the community who supported our festival, fish fry and chili cook off! The weekend was successful and a lot of fun. We are grateful for your support!
Over the coming weeks, we would like to highlight a very important part of our school community: our teachers! Many of our teachers have been on staff at our school for a decade or more. We wanted to share their thoughts about teaching at a Catholic school, and what keeps them there and makes their work so special. This week we begin with our principal, Mrs. Cindy Baldrige.
